
When Should I have my boiler serviced?
It is recommended for oil boilers to be serviced on an annual basis. Boilers that are serviced regularly run more effectively and thus use less oil. An inefficient boiler would cost you more to operate at today's high prices.
What is involved in a service?
Check and clean the burner and it’s components.
Inspect the internal oil lines replace when necessary.
Visually inspect the flue-ways.
Fit a new nozzle.
Clean and check heat exchanger and baffles.
Clean & if needed adjust the ignition components.
Check all boiler seals & joints.
Check the fire valve.
Check there are no obvious signs of damage to the wiring.
Re-set the burner operating pressure to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Carry out combustion analysis and set up boiler for safe and efficient running.
Check boiler safety devices.
Visual inspection of the oil tank and supply pipes that are accessible and above ground.
Access permitted, clean oil filters and renew if necessary.
